Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactor for a car which is light weight and small-sized and has sufficient leakage-flux interrupting performance.
SOLUTION: The reactor 1 for the car has winding supporting fittings 3 at both ends of windings 2 and being installed under the floor of the car by metal fittings 5 through a magnetic shielding plate 4. Gap materials 40 composed of a non-magnetic body are mounted among the winding supporting fittings 3 and the magnetic shielding plate 4, and reluctance in the path of leakage flux 10 is balanced in the upper and lower sections of the windings 2. Since reluctance is balanced in the upper and lower sections of the windings 2, leakage flux 10 on the lower sides of the windings 2 is increased, and leakage flux in a compartment 7 is reduced, thus miniaturizing and lightening the magnetic shielding plate 4.
