Abstract:

To solve the problem that hafnium as a neutron absorption member has a life longer than that of boron carbide, however, a conventional reactor control rod made of hafnium has a sheath made of stainless steel, and a risk of IASCC becomes high in accordance with irradiation in a long period.

A reactor control rod of the present invention includes: a blade 31; and a support member 1 which supports the blade, in which the blade 31 is constituted only of the blade in the shape formed by bending a flat plate constituted of zirconium-hafnium alloy which is a neutron absorption member.
