To improve thermal output while suppressing fuel integrity deterioration in reactor core design.SOLUTION: A reactor core designing method is provided, comprising determining a first layout indicating placement of fuel rods with different enrichment arranged such that the deviation of fuel rod output of a nuclear reactor is within a given range, and performing reactor core analysis while the fuel rods are placed according to the first layout to calculate an output peaking coefficient.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
