Abstract:

To provide a method and device for evaluating a reactor of a catalytic converter for treating exhaust gas.

The reaction efficiency of a reactive members measured in a flow reaction part 1 under a prescribed composition, flow, temperature, and pressure of multiple fluids, and a reaction model is prepared in a reaction model part 2 using the data on the composition, flow, temperature, and pressure of the fluids and the data on the reaction efficiency of the reactive member. Also an efficiency predictive detection part 3 calculates the efficiency as a reactor using, as the input data, the physical properties of the reactor model, reactor members, and those reactor materials excluding the reactor members and the design specifications of the reactor. Based on the results this obtained, an optimization evaluation part 4 selects efficiently and accurately the specifications of the reactor and the materials of the reactor members and reactor which are mostly suitable for the application and purpose of the reactor.
