Abstract:
To provide a reactor having an excellent strength and on which a resin mold part can be formed with ease.SOLUTION: A reactor 1 comprises: a coil 2 having wound parts 2a and 2b; a magnetic core 3 arranged inside and outside the wound parts and that forms a closed magnetic path; and a resin mold part 6 that includes an inner resin part 61 interposed between the wound parts and the magnetic core, and that does not cover outer peripheral surfaces of the wound parts. The magnetic core comprises: an inner core piece 31 that has a predetermined magnetic path cross sectional area, and arranged in the wound parts; and an outer core piece 32 that has a small area part 321 that includes a connection surface connected with an end surface of the inner core piece and having an area smaller than an area of this end surface, and a large area part 322 having a magnetic path cross sectional area larger than the area of the end surface of the inner core piece and exposed from the wound parts. The outer core piece has a relative magnetic permeability larger than that of the inner core piece. The resin mold part includes a thick part 63 that covers a connection position between the end surface of the inner core piece and the connection surface of the small area part, and that is thicker than a thickness at a position covering an outer periphery of the inner core piece.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
