Abstract:
PURPOSE:To simply designate a read range by providing a means calculating a read magnification of an original from a preset output size of a face and a size of the face on an original and a means calculating an original read range from the preset output frame size of a portrait, the origin and the read magnification. CONSTITUTION:A portrait original 38 to decide the read range is placed on a carrier sheet 32 and fixed so as not to be moved. Then an item key (key corresponding to portrait original processing) divided in advance in a parameter key 35 on a menu key 33 is depressed, then the mode enters the portrait original processing. Thus, the output frame size and the face output size are fetched in a calculation unit 10 from a memory 4. The size of face on the original is discriminated by an input coordinate and the magnification is calculated from it and the face output size, the input size is calculated from the magnification and the output frame size and the read range is calculated from the input scanning start point (origin) and the input size. Since the required read range is obtained automatically by having only to input the size of face and the origin of the read range on the portrait original, the input job of the CTS system when portraits of candidates at an election are contributed to a news paper is executed efficiently.
