PURPOSE: To change automatically the magnification of a projected picture according to the magnification of copying by shifting a scanning unit in horizontal direction to the light source and photosensitive drum to make slit exposure, and at the same time, changing magnification of print by shifting the unit in vertical direction.

CONSTITUTION: When printing a picture of a microfilm 1 on a sheet of paper 8, reflected light of a half mirror 4A is irradiated onto a photosensitive drum 6 from a slit 7 through a mirror 5, and the picture is transferred. The scanning unit 10 is shifted b a motor 14 in the direction of S1 or S2, an the whole of the picture of the film 1 is copied on the paper 8. In this case, a fixing member 36 moves in horizontal direction along a groove provided in a scanning member 34 through a pin 37. When the scanning unint 10 is moved in the direction V1, V2 vertical to a light source 2 and the photosensitive drum 6, the length of light path from the light source to the photosensitive drum 6 changes. Accordingly, print magnification can be changed, and print magnification can be changed freely by focusing manually or automatically a lens series 3 according to the magnification without changing the lens series 3.
