Title:
READILY TEARABLE FILM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH09111060
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To prepare the subject film, readily tearable so as to be tearable by hands without any notch or perforation and useful as a packaging bag, etc., by melt kneading a polyolefin resin with a thermoplastic resin incompatible therewith and extrusion molding the resultant kneaded mixture.

This readily tearable film is obtained by blending 60-95wt.% polyolefin resin (e.g. low-density polyethylene) with 40-5wt.% thermoplastic resin incompatible therewith (e.g. an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer) and, as necessary, adding an additive such as an antioxidant, an inorganic filler, an ultraviolet light absorber, a light stabilizer, an antistatic agent, an antifogging agent, a pigment or a dye thereto, feeding the resultant mixture to an extruder, melt kneading the mixture, then extruding the kneaded mixture through a T-die attached to the tip of the extruder and forming a film. The resultant film is readily tearable so as to be tearable by hands without any notch or perforation and suitable especially as a material, etc., for packaging bags.
