To provide a reading easel which can stably hold a book and enables a user to smoothly turn the pages by a hand without harming the pages and to easily and finely adjust a viewing angle.

A book receiving board 2 is equipped in the orthogonal direction in front of the lower end of rotary support legs 4 pivotally equipped on upper outside of both sleeve boards 3 equipped in right angles with a book holding board 1 in front of both right and left end sides. A vertical support board 5 is extended from the lower face of the book receiving board 2 and connected with a tilted support board 6 rearward movable within a right angle. Tilt adjusting screw legs 8 are screwed into the tilted support board 6. An elastic string 9 made of a transparent material is stretched in between both sleeve boards 3 and are controlled by a tension adjusting reel 10. The elastic string 9 is inserted from the surface to the backside through a string inserting hole 12 equipped on the inside top part 11a of an almost triangle guide film 11 narrowed to the inside direction and the base end side 11b of the guide film 11 is fixed on the inside face of each sleeve board 3. A finger inserting cut-off part 13 is constituted of one side end parts of the book receiving board 2, vertical support board 5, and the tilted support board 6.
