Abstract:
Diagnostics liquid reagent container has at least one closable top opening (15) and at least one vertical wall (12, 12') which is formed with a perpendicular locating groove (16,16') or an engagement edge. The container may be of triangular or trapezoidal cross section, or even with a part curved wall. Independent claims are included for a holding carousel for reagent containers, which has radial arranged 'pigeon hole' type compartments with sides formed with vertical ridges for engaging corresponding container wall grooves. An alternative configuration uses containers with a 'nose' shaped for push fitting to a socket in the apex of the carousel compartment. Preferably blow moulded plastics containers are used (claimed). A single container may be internally divided into two liquid compartments, each with its own e.g. screw top, closed opening.
