Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a dissolving reagent useful for flow cytometry which can substantially immediately dissolve red blood cells without giving any substantial influence of the light scattering characteristic on white blood cells.
CONSTITUTION: A diluted reagent for flow cytometry for dissolving nonnucleated red blood cells while maintaining nucleated cells is composed of a buffer aqueous solution which contains at least one kind of C1-C14 alkanol, at least one kind of C1C20 alkoxyalkanol, and at least one kind of nonionic surface active agent having 14-17 HLB and has a low hemolytic osmotic pressure of 40-200 milli-osmoles.
