Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a stabilized inspection reagent for granular substance having high cell reactivity by composing the reagent of hydroxyapatite (HAp) particles having a specified particle size fired at a specified temperature.
CONSTITUTION: The reagent for inspecting cell reaction is composed of HAp particles having specified average particle size in the range of 0.5-5μm fired at a specified temperature. The particle size smaller than 0.5μm weakens stimulus to the cell and the particle size larger than 5μm is resistant against the cell thus also weakening stimulus to the cell. The firing temperature lower than 1000°C causes significant reduction of stimulus to the cell and the upper limit is set lower than the decomposition temperature of apatite. The reagent exhibits strong stimulus to the cell and facilitates sterilization under high temperature and removal of endotoxin. Furthermore, it is quite stable under normal temperature, and thereby it van be used as a standard reagent for inspecting the cell reaction.
