Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the processing efficiency and the processing precision.SOLUTION: A reamer P has a cylindrical tool body 1 rotated around an axis c, an axial groove 21 formed from a tip 1a of the tool body to a rear end 1b, and a cutting blade 22 formed at the outside ridgeline part of a wall face directing the rotation direction of the groove. A cutting blade consists of a biting part 22a in left torsion from the tip of the tool body to the rear end, and a finishing reamer part 22b directing in the direction of the rear end of the tool body 1 in continuity with the biting part 22a. The biting part of the cutting blade turns an axial length L into a half or less (L≤R/2) of a diameter R of the tool body to take a convex arc shape in a torsional direction, and to keep a torsional angle α gradually smaller toward the rear end in weak torsion from stronger torsion at the tip of the tool body. Shaping the biting part into a convex arc enables a smooth discharge of sawdust and an improvement in the cutting efficiency and the processing precision.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
