Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a reamer having initial abrasion less than the abrasion occurring later.
CONSTITUTION: This reamer is provided with at least one cutter plate and two guide strip pieces provided on the cutter plate. The cutter plate is provided at least one main cutting edge and an auxiliary cutting edge 5 adjacent to the main cutting edge. A flank 17 is provided in the range of the main cutting edge and the auxiliary cutting edge 5, and the flank 17 has a first flank range 19 inclined at the clearance angle of about 7° in the range of the auxiliary cutting edge 5. The auxiliary cutting edge 5 has an additional second flank range 23. The additional second flank range 23 is directly connected to the auxiliary cutting edge 5 and is shifted to the first flank range 19, and it has the clearance angle far smaller than the clearance angle of the first flank range 19.
