Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve machining accuracy.
SOLUTION: The outer periphery of a tool body 2 having a substantially column-shaped outline projecting the cutting edge on the outer periphery of its tip is provided with a plurality of pads 11 extending in substantially parallel with the axis O. On the tip side of the tool body 2, the pads 11 are projected from the outer peripheral surface of the tool body 2. On the base end side of the tool body 2, the outer diameter d of the pads is shortened than the outer diameter D of the pads on the tip side. On the base end side of the tool body 2, the outer diameter β of the tool body 2 itself is extended than the outer diameter α on the tip side, and is set equal to the outer diameter d of the pads.
