PURPOSE: To smoothly perform the treatments of grain stems from the raising operation of the stems to the feeding and carrying operations of the culms reaping the root portions of the culms raised with two raising devices, carrying the reaped culms with a carrying device and cutting the culms at portions below the ear tips thereof.

CONSTITUTION: Laterally fallen planted grain culms are raised with the first raising device and divided, and longitudinally fallen culms are also raised with the second raising device and simultaneously received from the first raising device. The raised culms are reaped with the first reaping device at the root portions thereof, carried backwardly with a longitudinally carrying device 3, cut with the second reaping device 4 at the positions below the ear tips thereof and subsequently carried with a feeding carrying device 9 toward to threshing device 8.
