To provide a compact and light-weight zoom lens having a vibration-proofing function, realizing rapid focusing, further realizing the reduction of the weight of a lens group correcting image blur and made excellent in optical performance.

The zoom lens has a 1st positive lens group, a 2nd positive lens group, a 3rd negative lens group, a 4th positive lens group, a 5th negative lens group, a 6th positive lens group and a 7th negative lens group in order from an object side. In the case of varying power from a wide angle side to a telephoto side, the 1st, the 3rd, the 4th, the 5th, the 6th and the 7th lens groups are moved to the object side, and the 7th lens group is moved in an optical axis direction so that focusing is performed. The 3rd lens group is constituted of a front part G3A and a rear part G3B in order from the object side, and corrects the image blur by moving the rear group G3B thereof in a direction including a perpendicular component to an optical axis, and is set to satisfy a fixed condition.
