Abstract:
To improve occupant restraint performance with a far side airbag.SOLUTION: A vehicle seat 12 to which a rear seat far side airbag device 10 is applied includes: a seat cushion 14 disposed with the vehicle width direction as the longitudinal direction and having seat surfaces formed on both left and right sides in the vehicle width direction; and an inflator 34 that generates gas. Further, a far side airbag 32, which is inflated and deployed upward by supplying gas, is provided at the approximate center of the seat cushion 14 in the vehicle width direction. Additionally, straps 36A, 36B, 36C, and 36D are respectively connected on the upper end of the far side airbag 32, in the inflated and deployed state in the vehicle vertical direction, and a seat cushion frame 20 positioned below the buttocks L of an occupant P seated on the seat surfaces formed on both sides in the vehicle width direction of the far side airbag 32 and on both sides in the vehicle width direction of the seat cushion 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
