To provide a multi-link type rear suspension device for an automobile capable of suppressing toe variation in braking and in turning without sacrificing the minimum ground height.
The rear suspension device for the automobile is provided with a front cross member 17 having an upper curved part 17c passing with a rear differential 1 or the like at a lower part; a rear cross member 18; a toe control link 10 connected to the front cross member; a first reinforcement member 50 inwardly and obliquely extending from the front cross member to a rear side of a vehicle body and in a vehicle width direction; and a second reinforcement member 52 outwardly and obliquely extending from the front cross member to a front side of the vehicle body and in a vehicle width direction. The first reinforcement member extends at a first angle α relative to a direction to which the front cross member extends, the second reinforcement member is inclined at a second angle β relative to a direction to which the front cross member extends and the first angle and the second angle are different from each other.
