Title:
REAR SUSPENSION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3705133
Kind Code:
B
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve running stability by preventing toe change of right and left wheels in running on an off-road surface even when a shock absorber is arranged tiltingly with respect to the vertical direction.
SOLUTION: This torsion beam type rear suspension device comprises right and left trailing arms 24 and a torsion beam 26 connected between them. The ends of the right and left trailing arms on the front side of a vehicle are oscillatably mounted to a car body side member via elastic bushes 28. Each of right and left axles is connected to the lower end of the shock absorber 34 via a lower elastic bush 32. The axial lines PS1 of the shock absorbers are, in a plan view of the vehicle, matched with each other on a line connecting the lower elastic bushes 32 to the elastic center O1, namely the center point of displacement of mutually integrated axles 22, the right and left trailing arms 24, and the torsion beam 26 by deflection deformation of the elastic bushes.
