PURPOSE: To shorten the waiting time until the terminal of a computer, etc., is released from a print outputting operation and shorten the waiting time until image data is actually output to be printed.
CONSTITUTION: Data transfer is so controlled as to transfer only image data coincident with a sheet size to an image recorder 120 by comparing the sheet size of the data with a sheet size selected to the recorder 120 by a transfer controller 114 each time the data is received by a received data controller 100. Accordingly, since the image data which is not coincident with the sheet size is held by a reception buffer 109-112, the waiting of the print output of the data coincident with the other sheet size due to the cause of the data which is not coincident with the size can be prevented, thereby shortening the waiting time of the print output and the waiting time until releasing from the printing process of the terminal.
