Title:
RECEIVED-PICTURE PROCESSING SYSTEM FOR TELEVISION STILL- PICTURE COMMUNICATION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5497316
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an easy-to-see screen with softened seeing discomfort basing upon quantizing noise by adding a wobble to a display picture when a decoded analog signal contains much quantizing noise.

CONSTITUTION: Picture information picture-taken by television camera CAM is coded by the A/D converter, stored in memory MEMS, and modulated by modulator MOD before being sent out to the transmission line. This signal is demodulated by demodulator DEM and stored in memory MEMR. Through the operation of processor CONTR, a decoded analog picture signal given an intense wobble by wobbling circuit WOB during initial reception (the number of decoded bits is small), a gradually-weakening wobbling during the reception, and no wobbling after the reception are displayed on the screen of monitor MON. Consequently, the seeing discomfort can be removed which bases upon quantizing noise.
