To normally control equipment through radio communication between a receiver and a portable apparatus by avoiding a communication trouble caused by noise without requiring large alteration at the receiver side.
The receiver includes an RSSI circuit which measures the intensity of a signal included in a received radio wave, a trap filter which attenuates a frequency band with a predetermined center frequency as a center within a specified frequency band, and an apparatus-side microcomputer 11 which adjusts the center frequency in predetermined timing to periodically switch the attenuation band. The RSSI circuit measures the intensity of noise received within the specified frequency band to disturb the reception of the signal each time the attenuation band of the trap filter is switched. The apparatus-side microcomputer 11 fixes the center frequency of the trap filter to a center frequency at which the intensity of the noise measured by the RSSI circuit becomes minimum.
