The receiver includes: a propagation path response estimation part for estimating a propagation path response between a plurality of transmission antennas and reception antennas; a block division control part for generating block division control information for dividing reception signals into a plurality of blocks; a block division part for dividing blocks on the basis of the block division control information; and a transmission signal detection part for detecting a plurality of transmission signals transmitted by a transmitter on the basis of the reception signals divided into the plurality of blocks and the propagation path response. The block division control part changes the number of block divisions in the block division part.
