The transmitter, which has a lock button and an unlock button, repeatedly transmits a request signal when either the lock button or the unlock button is pressed. The request signal includes an ID code, a button code and a time code. The button code indicates discrimination between the lock/unlock buttons, and the time code indicates whether the button is continuously pressed longer than a prescribed time or pressed prescribed number of times. A receiver performs the lock/unlock control and opening/closing control of the door in accordance with the button code and the time code. A number-of-times code, which indicates the number of times of the operation of the button, can also be used instead of the time code.
