Abstract:
To capture a correct base station in a poor radio communication environment.
A PBCH demodulator/decoder 201 decodes PBCH data transmitted from a base station 101. A valid data determining unit 202 determines whether all values in the PBCH data are zero or not. A discarding unit 203 discards the PBCH data when all the values in the PBCH data are determined to be zero. This invention can be applied to a receiver according to a communication method in compliance with 3GPP TS36.211, 212, 331 standards.
