PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an exact control code from a received symbol string even when a plurality of bit errors occur concentratedly and discretely at part of the symbol string.SOLUTION: A receiver (100) includes: a reception means of receiving a first symbol string formed from a plurality of symbols; a second storage means of storing a second symbol string formed from a plurality of symbols; and symbol string correction means of executing processing to match the first symbol string with the second symbol string when the number of matching symbols exceeds a predetermined value after comparison for each symbol between the first symbol string and the second symbol string.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
