Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver capable of flexibly utilizing view history.SOLUTION: The receiver receives broadcast waves of digital broadcasting which uses an IP transmission scheme, acquires a piece of destination information representing the destination of a view history server which collects view history information relevant to view history of contents transmitted via broadcast waves, and controls to transmit the view history information on the basis of the acquired destination information to the view history server via a communication channel. This technique is applicable to, for example, a television receiver conforming to the IP transmission scheme.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
