An individual identification device 7 identifies a user using a receiver 100 by recognizing his/her face with a camera. A CPU 1 of the receiver 100 identifies a transmitter 200 managed in association with personal identification information on the identified user, and automatically searches for the identified transmitter 200. When the identified transmitter 200 is detected, the CPU 1 automatically performs wireless connection with the transmitter 200. Thus, the receiver 100 can surely and automatically (that is, without requiring a user operation) perform wireless connection with the transmitter 200 possessed by the user using the receiver 100.
