Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the receiver which requires only irreducible transmitter output and/or irreducible bandwidth to transmit data through channels having a delay time difference. CONSTITUTION: This receiver receives a transmit signal having N frequency- multiplexed, data-modulated carriers. Modulation signals of the carriers are supplied from a frequency multiplexer demodulator 13 to a symbol detecting device 4 through an equalizing device e (x). The equalizing device e (x) compensates distortion in the supplied modulation signals so that the symbol detecting device 4 detects transmit data with low error probability. When transmit signals arrive with different delay times, the distortion is principally crosstalk between the modulation signals of adjacent carriers. Therefore, this distortion is nearly compensated by putting the modulation signals of the carriers together with signals representing data of adjacent carriers by a composing circuit 31, etc. The said signals are obtained from the output of the frequency multiplexer demodulator 13 and the output of the symbol detecting device 4.
