Broadcast information received from a broadcast network is temporarily recorded in storage means of a broadcast receiving device, and a recording medium storing auxiliary information complementing the broadcast information is set. The broadcast information and the auxiliary information are cooperatively reproduced at predetermined timing. Thus, information that cannot be placed within a broadcast frame can be provided, and a parental control function can be implemented.
