Abstract:
To secure an excellent communication quality in a data transmission using a low density parity check (LDPC) code.SOLUTION: There is decoded a low density parity check (LDPC) code obtained by performing an LDPC coding on the basis of a check matrix where a code length N is 69120 bits and a coding rate r is a 12/16 LDPC code. The LDPC code includes information bits and parity bits, and the check matrix includes an information matrix corresponding to the information bits and a parity matrix corresponding to the parity bits. The information matrix is represented by a check matrix initial value table, and the check matrix initial value table is a table representing a position of one element of the information matrix for every 360 columns that is a predetermined table. The present technique can be applied to, for example, data transmission using an LDPC code.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 21
