The packet gripper 2 moves a packet 4, 4' from a stoppling place before a transferring place D to the stopping element 16, 16'. The stopping element 16, 16' is raised in the packet storage chamber A, B corresponding to the actuating position in a form capable of joining the packet 4, 4' on the stopping element 16, 16'.
