To obtain a receptacle by which the damages and troubles caused by an overcurrent can be minimized, which can stand a load connected to the receptacle as possible even if the loads are heavy and, further, which does not violate applicable regulations.
Primary side connection terminals 2 and secondary side connection terminals 3 connected to the primary side connection terminals 2 are provided in a receptacle main part 1 to compose a receptacle. An overcurrent cut-off unit 5 which opens an interconnection circuit 4, with which the primary side connection terminals 2 and the secondary side connection terminals 3 are connected to each other when an overcurrent exceeding a rated current is applied to the interconnection circuit 4, is integrally provided on the receptacle main part 1.
