PURPOSE: To recognize the display of a reception signal of a camera even when it is bright in a long distance or a short distance by a user and to accomplish normal light emission at the time of photographing by displaying the reception signal with the faint light emission of a flash device.

CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a reception means 120 which receives a photographing action signal from a remote control device, a stroboscopic device 118 which can control ordinary light emission and the emission of flash light whose emitted light quantity is very small, a control means 101 which allows the stroboscopic device 118 to execute the faint light emission in the case of receiving the photographing action signal, and a photographing action control means 101 which executes a photographing action after the faint light emission. Namely, the display of confirming reception is performed with the emission of the flash light whose brightness is high and whose emitted light quantity is very small at the time of performing the reception in the case of remote control shot. Since energy necessary for the emission of the flash light is a little, the normal light emission for photographing can be performed continuously. Thus, the confirmation of the reception in the case of remote control shot is made plain and the normal light emission of the stroboscope is continuously performed without adding extra parts.
