PURPOSE: To provide the reception equipment which can diagnose the state (normal or abnormal) of a receiving circuit part.

CONSTITUTION: The reception equipment is equipped with a control circuit part 7 which performs making control over a normally open relay dummy contact generating a contact signal 4 by connecting the relay dummy contact 4 to reception ports P and P. The control circuit part 7 is equipped with a relay coil 5 which controls the making and breaking of the relay dummy contact 4 and a switching transistor 6 which controls the conduction of the relay coil 5, and is driven with the output signal from the output port S2 of a process part 3 to control the making of the relay dummy contact 4.
