Abstract:
To provide a reception method for enabling a user to view subscription programs without failing to process ECMs and EMMs necessary for descrambling.SOLUTION: An embodiment comprises: a tuner unit to receive service signals; a descrambler to receive scrambled content output from the tuner unit; a control unit to control at least the tuner unit and the descrambler; and a CAS module to acquire the second key (Ks) to be given to the descrambler. The control unit is set to process, after receiving EMMs from one business entity, at least R (an integer equal to or greater than 1) of the EMMs within a period of grace before processing in the CAS module. When detecting an additional EMM after processing the R EMMs within the EMM processing grace period after detecting the EMMs of the one business entity, the control section suspends command transmission to the CAS module with respect to at least the EMMs within the grace period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 25
