Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a calculation accuracy of a salt concentration distribution, in a secondary battery system for calculating the salt concentration distribution in an electrolyte.SOLUTION: A secondary battery system 10 includes: a battery 100 having an electrode body 120 made of a porous material and an electrolyte; and an ECU 300 for calculating a flow speed uof the electrolyte based on the Navier-Stokes equation which describes a flow of the electrolyte in the internal part of the electrode body 120, and calculates a salt concentration distribution in the electrolyte by solving the advection-diffusion equation using the calculated flow speed u, and estimating an internal resistance R of the battery 100 based on the calculated salt concentration distribution. The Navier-Stokes equation includes an osmotic pressure pof the electrolyte in the internal part of the electrode body 120 as a parameter. The osmotic pressure pis calculated using a reflection coefficient σj indicating a degree of a semipermeability of the electrode body 120 for a solvent (lithium salt) of the electrolyte. The advection-diffusion equation includes the reflection coefficient σj as a parameter.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
