Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion secondary battery which is superior in safety and output characteristic.SOLUTION: A lithium ion secondary battery 1 comprises an electrode group 5 having a positive electrode 2, a negative electrode 3 and a separator 4, and an electrolytic solution; the electrode group and the electrolytic solution are encased in a battery container 6. In the lithium ion secondary battery 1, the positive electrode 2 has a current collector, a conductive layer formed on the current collector and a positive electrode active material layer formed on the conductive layer. The conductive layer includes conductive particles, polymer particles and a water-soluble polymer. The positive electrode active material layer includes a lamellar lithium-nickel-manganese-cobalt composite oxide as a positive electrode active material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
