To provide a reciprocal operation method suitable for shortening the time taken for an operation and reducing the circuit scale, a reciprocal operation device and a recording medium with reciprocal operation program recorded thereon.
This device is provided with 5 registers Ua, Ub, Va, Vb and W, 2 adders, a 1-bit arithmetic right shifter and a selector group. By repeating parallel update for the 5 registers Ua, Ub, Va, Vb and W, a reciprocal is calculated.
