Abstract:
To provide a reciprocating cutting tool that is able to suppress flying up of dust.SOLUTION: A reciprocating saw as a reciprocating cutting tool includes: a reciprocating conversion mechanism 5 driven by a motor; a rod-shaped slider 6 connected to the reciprocating conversion mechanism 5 and that reciprocates; a blade holding portion 138 held at a front end of the slider 6 and holding a blade; a power transmission housing 20 in which the reciprocating conversion mechanism 5 is housed and the slider 6 projects from a front end; a cover 22 disposed outside the power transmission housing 20; and a fan rotatable integrally with a rotor of the motor. A first passage (exhaust wind W1) for cooling air from a fan is provided between the power transmission housing 20 and the cover 22. The first passage branches into a second passage 192 (exhaust wind W2) directed toward the blade holding portion 138 side and a third passage 193 (exhaust wind W3) not directed toward the blade holding portion 138 side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
