Abstract:

To actualize a small and compact reciprocating compressor for compressing hydrogen used for a fuel cell vehicle.

A reciprocating compressor 101 comprises: a crankshaft 2; a connecting rod 3 whose one end is connected to the crankshaft; a crosshead 5 connected to a pair of shafts 6 mutually extending in opposite directions; and a pair of plungers 11 connected to each of the shafts; and cylinders 31 housing tips of the plungers. The pair of the plungers reciprocate on approximately the same axis, and the crosshead is integrally formed.
