Abstract:
To reduce vibration resulting from inertial force of a piston in a reciprocating engine.SOLUTION: A reciprocating engine 11 has an engine frame 13, a crankshaft, a piston 14, and a link mechanism that converts reciprocating linear motion of the piston 14 into rotary motion of the crankshaft. In order to reduce excitation force generated in the engine frame 13 by inertial force of the piston 14, the link mechanism includes a connection point with the engine frame 13, and in response to inertia torque generated by the piston 14, generates force in a direction opposite to the inertia force generated in the piston 14 at the connection point.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
