Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable selection of synchronous motion and position and direction in the layout at an output end as desired by sealing and connecting the cylinder chambers in an actuator composed of a set of a cylinder and a piston and a set of a cylinder and a plunger with a fluid. CONSTITUTION:The first section 4 of an actuator 2 is made up of a cylinder 8 and a piston 10 while the second section 6 thereof made up of a cylinder 24 and a plunger 26. A chamber 34 of the cylinder 8 and a chamber 36 of the cylinder 24 are connected with a pipeline 38 so as to be filled with a fluid. With such an arrangement, when a pressure fluid is fed from the pipeline 18, the plunger 26 performs a synchronous motion regardless of the level of a load resitance through the fluid in the cylinder 8 and the pipeline 38. Change in the fixed position of the cylinder 8, the piston 10, the cylinder 24 and the plunger 26 enables the selection of the position and direction in the layout at the output end as desired.
