PURPOSE: In a reciprocating type electric razor wherein the rotary movement is converted into a reciprocating movement by an eccentric cam and the inner blade is driven, to improve the conversion efficiency between both movements.

CONSTITUTION: At both sides of a driving body 11 in the direction of reciprocating motion, which converts the rotary movement of an eccentric cam 9 in the reciprocating movement there are provided elastic members 6 which hold a predetermined space D between said members and the driving body 11 or the receiving wall at the side of the main structure case at the neutral position of the driving body 11, and return the driving body 11 in the eccentric state to the neutral position. When the cam 9 is rotated, the driving body 11 makes reciprocating motions around the support shaft 12 in the opposite directions at its upper and lower parts. at the time when the lower end side of the driving body 11 situated at the intermediate part between two coil springs 6 shifts in the space D between end side and springs 6, the cam 9 moves in a state where a spring pressure is applied from neither left hand nor right hand. When the driving body 11 approaches the outermost end of the amplitude, the spring pressure acts to stop the driving body 11, and the pressing force of the spring 6 is added to the rotating force of the cam 9, as a result of which the load of the mortor 4 is reduced.
