The reciprocation type fluid machine is provided with a power transmission mechanism. The power transmission mechanism is provided with a swash ring 42 integrally rotated with a drive shaft 8 and having an engagement hole 44 opened on an inner peripheral surface; an arm 58 extending from the drive shaft 8 to the outside in a radial direction and having a ball part 58a engaged with the engagement hole 44 of the swash ring 42 at an outer end; a shoe 40 provided between a piston 38 and the swash ring 42 and converting rotation of the swash ring 42 to a reciprocation motion of the piston 38; and a liner member 60 provided between an inner surface of the engagement hole 44 and the ball part 58. The liner member 60 has an outer surface engaged with the engagement hole 44; and a circular recession 60a provided on the inner surface and receiving the ball part 58a.
