PURPOSE: To enable execution of excellent reclining operation and to reduce the cost of a product having excellent durability by a method wherein a seat back bracket is guided by a seat cushion bracket by means of a relation between the protrusion of a slide part and the groove of a guide part and rotated around one point of the upper part of the seat cushion.
CONSTITUTION: When a seat back 14 is forced to rise frontwardly, with a control knob 15 rotated in the direction of a clockwise rotation arrow mark A, a press contact state between a tension spring 27 of a spring coupler and the inner peripheral surface of a case 23 is rendered ineffective, a rotation force from the control knob 15 is transmitted through an adjuster shaft 21 and a hold ring 24 to rotate a rotary body 25. Rotation of the rotary body 25 causes guidance of a line part 13a of protrusion of a seat bracket 13, a tooth part 13d of which is engaged with a pinion hear 25a, along a groove part 12a of a seat cushion bracket 12, and the seat back bracket is rotated upward around a center 0. The rotation center 0 of the seat back brackets 13 and 13' is set so as to coincide with the hip point of the hip joint of a user when the user sits down a reclining seat.
