This reclining bed has the lifting/lowering leg parts having the mechanisms for vertically lifting/lowering the leg parts, and reclining mechanisms on lifting/lowering bases supported to the lifting/lowering leg parts. In the leg parts, a body is formed of a pair of two short frames being in parallel in the width direction at a desired interval apart in the front/rear direction, and grounding members provided in the both ends (four corners) of the short frames; the leg body supports and consists of at least an actuator and the lifting/lower base via a drive mechanism for simultaneously lifting/lowering the front part and the rear part by the actuator; wherein the lifting/lowering drive mechanism consists of a lifting/lowering movable arm provided between the lifting/lowering base and the leg part body, a pair of lifting/lowering movable arm swinging preventing gears provided between lifting/lowering movable arms and the leg part body, and lifting/lowering link mechanisms provided between the lifting/lowering movable arms and the swinging prevention gears.
