Abstract:
The present invention provides a reclining bed that alleviates the pressure imposed on the abdomen of a user when the back support is raised. The present invention is a reclining bed (1) with a back support (9) that supports the back region of a person lying in a supine position and that can be raised and lowered, wherein a lumbar pressure section (14) is formed in the back support (10) so as to project from the top surface of the back support (10) and apply pressure to the lumbar region of the person lying in a supine position. Moreover, the back support (10) and the lumbar pressure section (14) are interlocked and coupled via an interlock mechanism (26). Furthermore, the state of the interlock mechanism (26) can be changed between an interlocked state in which the back support (10) and the lumbar pressure section (14) are interlocked and coupled and a released state in which the interlocking/coupling between the back support (10) and the lumbar pressure section (14) is released.
