Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat reclining device reducing a man-hour and costs and having enhanced maintainability and controllability.
SOLUTION: A control lever 47 swings in conjunction with an actuator 60 to open or close a valve in a locking cylinder 41. A backrest is converted by the actuator to a restraint state and an unrestrained state to enable to backrest to be tilted to the desired position and to restrain the backrest in the desired position. By energizing the to an slmost vertical position, the backrest rises from a reclining position to the vertical position, thereby enabling a seat to be inverted without interfering with other seats longiudially adjacent thereto. Further, the actuators relating to all seats in a unit vehicle are designed to be automatically driven to enable the backrest relating to all of the seats to be raised at a time without the need to raise the backrest of each seat to the vertical position.
